Fake friends and other things that annoy me about the Kingdom Hall
by MysticMage init was easy to figure people out.
as long as you got out in service and put money in the money box people will pretend to be your "friend".. but let's be honest is most of business associates.
they are your friends as long as you are active doing the watchtower bidding.. and then let's talk about the lack of hot women.

Why is my JW mother so mean to me and her grandson??
by quellycatface ini've been wanting to ask your advice for ages on this subject and here goes.. my mum is a jw fanatic, she just reads the bible and the publications, no other books at all.
she is a functioning alcoholic.. she is so disappointed in me.

losing tax free status would mean losing millions of dollars.
ending shunning means people would leave by the boatloads.

Neither. They would fight tooth and nail through the European court of human rights and whatever equivalent I'm the USA and elsewhere to keep both. They would cry to the UN like little spoiled brats that their rights to freedom of religion are being violated.

What is it with so many born-in jw men being so shallow and selfish! They only care about looks and what they can get and have no idea that to attract an attractive partner they have to have some sort of attraction. Case in point: an uneducated jw guy folding junk mail for a living. He's let himself go and gained a lot of weight, does nothing to improve himself, is selfish and deceitful. He chases the drop dead gorgeous, intelligent, interesting, athletic, popular Russian sister. He just wants her for himselfto possess because she's beautiful, with no concept that he would have to offer her something. That he too needs to educate himself and look after himself. He felt entitled to her or a girl like her because, and I quote, "I've never been dfd or reproved and I have privileges in the congregation, so why can't I get a sister who looks like a super model?" And try to explain that to get a glamorous woman you need to either be rich, have a great personality, incredibly funny or look like Brad Pitt. But it was all about what he could get, and so many jw guys were like that, especially once they reached 30 and were still single and never had a girlfriend.
The above-average looking sister from the next hall actually did like him and she too had a lot going for her, but when she asked him out she turned him down because, and I quote, "she's not good looking enough."
Why do so many jw males feel entitled to a fabulous beauty without having to make themselves into better people?
I knew another brother who was pretty repulsive who had the hot girl after him. He couldnt stand her personality and thought her so stupid but he married her anyway because she looked like a model. I guess jw men expect the good looking girls to fawn over them because there are no decent men left in the congregation.

The CO visit this week he says" In August..."
by James Jackson inup until 5 years ago, the co used to work up their own parts for specfic congregations in their circuits.
everything is up to script, in other words, every co in the country are givings the same talks in the local congregations they visit.
what got me to cringe is when he said at the meeting, trying to encourage everyone to pioneer this august; he said :" you know this october it will be 100 years since gods kingdom began ruling, remember what happen when joshua told the israelites to march around jericho on the seventh day, and what happened when they let out a great war cry?

Lol about the 18 year old cheating!! Yes I've seen it too. Most of these characters' attitudes and personalities are based on those of real jws I've known or met. I've met some real creeps.
